Scholarship and
Financial Aid Information.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships don't
have to be repaid, so they are sometimes known as gift
aid. There are many sources for scholarships,
including private companies and organizations,
colleges, state-based programs, and others.
Some scholarship awards are based on need and others
on merit, such as academic or athletic performance.
Still others are available to students who come from
particular geographic regions or who meet other
special criteria. You should start your search for
scholarships early and complete any necessary
applications as early as possible to make sure you
meet all deadlines. Many hospitals and other health
care providers offer scholarships, tuition
reimbursement, loan repayment programs, and other
forms of financial assistance in exchange for the
student's commitment to work for the institution upon
completion of their course of study. For more
information on hospital-based awards, visit the MHA
Health Careers Center's website at
www.mshealthcareers.com.
