With Theme Hospital you start with a plot of land which you must turn into a thriving city hospital. The player takes control of the hospital and is responsible for all aspects of running, improving, and maintaining the entire operation. Design, maintain and manage a your own hospital facility, making the most of limited resources and turning cures into cash. Rooms need to be built to successfully diagnose patients and cure them of their ailments. You must decide which rooms you want to build, where to position them, how large they will be. Once you have built your hospital, then you must hire staff. You also need to ensure that your staff are satisfied with working in your hospital, and that your patients don't have to wait too long to be treated. The Grim Reaper stalks the corridors and the ill have some very odd ailments. The decisions you have to make range from staffing and patient health to such mundane things such as the actual size of the rooms.
